Does the Bible teach the Trinity?
Quick answer
Yes. Scripture teaches that there is one God, and that Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are each fully divine and personally distinct. The word “Trinity” is later theological shorthand for that biblical pattern.
One God, three persons
The Shema’s confession of one God stands. The New Testament then places the Son and the Spirit within that unique divine identity through worship, creation language, baptismal naming, and shared divine titles. The result is not tritheism.
Quranic misunderstandings
