If Jesus is God, how could Satan tempt him?
Quick answer
Satan’s temptation targeted Jesus in his true humanity. Being tempted does not require moral failure, and it does not strip the Son of deity. Hebrews says he was tempted in every way yet without sin.
Temptation is not sin
The wilderness narrative shows the last Adam succeeding where Israel failed. Jesus answers with Scripture and refuses the devil’s offers. That is victory, not weakness.
Why deity still stands
If temptation automatically disproved deity, then the Incarnation itself would be impossible. The biblical claim is stronger: the divine Son entered our condition, faced real testing as man, and remained sinless.
