Muhammad is a prophet who was not empowered to perform miracles, unlike Jesus, who is equal to Allah.

The Quran clearly states that God is the only one who can create and perform miracles, as seen in Surah 16:17 and Surah 6:37. This distinction highlights that Muhammad, who performed no miracles, cannot be equated with Jesus, who performed many miracles as a demonstration of His divine authority. Furthermore, the Quran acknowledges that Muhammad is merely a mortal man and a messenger (Surah 17:90-93), which contrasts sharply with the Christian understanding of Jesus as the incarnate Word of God (John 1:1). The Christian belief is that Jesus' miracles were not only signs of His authority but also affirmations of His identity as God incarnate, which is fundamentally different from Muhammad's role as a prophet without miraculous signs. Thus, the assertion that Muhammad is equal to Jesus contradicts the very teachings of the Quran regarding the nature and power of God versus that of a mere prophet.
