Muhammad is the first prophet created and the last one sent, and he has a unique status that elevates him above all other prophets.

The Quran presents Muhammad as a significant figure in Islam, but it also acknowledges his humanity and fallibility. In contrast, the Christian faith asserts that Jesus Christ is the divine Son of God, fully God and fully man, who existed before all creation. John 1:1 states, 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.' This highlights the pre-existence and divine nature of Christ, setting Him apart from any prophet, including Muhammad. Furthermore, while the Quran attributes certain qualities to Muhammad, such as being the first Muslim and the last prophet, Christians believe that Jesus fulfills the role of the ultimate prophet and savior. Hebrews 1:1-2 explains that God has spoken to us through His Son, indicating that Jesus is the final and complete revelation of God’s will to humanity. Additionally, the idea that Muhammad intercedes for others or is invoked for forgiveness is countered by the Christian belief in Jesus as the sole mediator between God and man (1 Timothy 2:5). This underscores the uniqueness of Christ's role in salvation, contrasting with the Islamic view of Muhammad's status. Thus, while Muhammad may hold a revered position in Islam, the Christian faith firmly places Jesus Christ at the center of its belief system as the eternal and divine Savior.
