This imagery aligns with the anticipation of Jesus' return, further establishing his identity as Lord. Jude's exhortation to wait for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ unto eternal life (Jude 1:20-21) also points to the expectation of Jesus' return, where he will bestow mercy upon his followers. Additionally, the New Testament consistently portrays Jesus as the one who comes on the clouds with power and glory, as seen in Mark 13:26-27 and Luke 9:26. These passages affirm that Jesus, the Son of Man, will return in glory to judge the world, which aligns with the traditional Christian understanding of his divine nature and authority. Therefore, the assertion that Jesus is not God and will not return is inconsistent with the biblical testimony regarding his identity and mission.
