This unity in power and essence suggests that Jesus shares in the divine sovereignty over creation. Furthermore, the Scriptures present Jesus as the sovereign head of all creation, as affirmed by John the Baptist, who states that Christ is above all because He is from above. Therefore, the claim that Jesus cannot be God contradicts the biblical testimony of His divine nature and authority.
