Critics may argue that this reference is to God the Father, but the context of Revelation shows a clear distinction and affirmation of Jesus' divine role. Additionally, Hebrews 1:8-9 presents God addressing Jesus as God, reinforcing the belief in His divine nature. If God the Father calls Jesus 'God,' it challenges the notion that Jesus is merely a prophet. The biblical evidence consistently points to Jesus being more than a prophet; He is the incarnate God who came to redeem humanity.
