Furthermore, the concept of intercession in Christianity is not about undermining God's sovereignty but rather fulfilling His divine plan. Hebrews 7:25 states, 'Therefore he is able to save completely those who come to God through him, because he always lives to intercede for them.' This indicates that Jesus' intercession is part of His divine mission to reconcile humanity with God. Moreover, the Qur'an's references to intercession can be understood in the context of the specific circumstances it addresses. The emphasis is on the futility of relying on false intercessors or those without divine authority, which aligns with the Christian belief that only Jesus, being divine, has the power to intercede effectively. Thus, the Christian understanding of intercession does not contradict the Qur'anic teachings but rather complements the notion of God's sovereignty with the unique role of Christ as the Savior.
