Christians believe that God is a Trinity. Yet, nowhere do we find the Trinity taught in the Bible. The clear biblical witness is that God is absolutely one.

For instance, Jesus and Paul affirm the oneness of God in passages such as Mark 12:29-30 and 1 Timothy 2:5, which do not contradict the doctrine of the Trinity but rather support it. Furthermore, the Old Testament contains plural references to God, such as in Genesis 1:26-27, where God speaks in the plural form, indicating a complex unity. Additionally, verses like Isaiah 48:12-16 and Zechariah 2:7-11 suggest a plurality within the Godhead, reinforcing the Christian understanding of God's nature. Thus, the biblical evidence supports the belief in the Trinity, rather than contradicting it.
