Why do Christians seek refuge in Jesus when the Quran teaches that we should only seek refuge in Allah?

The Quran teaches that believers should seek refuge in Allah alone, as seen in verses like Surah 1:5 and Surah 7:200. However, Christians interpret Jesus as the Word made flesh (John 1:14), which means that seeking refuge in Him is not contrary to seeking refuge in God. In fact, Jesus Himself taught His followers to come to Him for rest and refuge (Matthew 11:28-30). This understanding aligns with the Christian belief in the Trinity, where Jesus is fully God and fully man, making Him a perfect mediator between humanity and God. Furthermore, the New Testament emphasizes that believers can approach God through Jesus, who intercedes for them (Hebrews 7:25). Therefore, seeking refuge in Jesus is consistent with seeking refuge in God, as they are one and the same in the Christian faith.
