Furthermore, Jesus states that he descended from heaven and would return, reinforcing the idea that he existed with God prior to his earthly life. Additionally, throughout the Gospel of John, Jesus makes several claims about his unique relationship with the Father. He acknowledges that he knows all things, a characteristic that is attributed solely to God. This knowledge and authority set him apart from mere prophets, who do not possess such divine attributes. Jesus' assertion that he came from the Father and has made known the Father’s will further illustrates his divine mission and identity. Moreover, Jesus' declaration, 'before Abraham came into being, I AM!' not only asserts his existence prior to Abraham but also aligns him with the divine name revealed to Moses. This statement was so profound that it provoked a violent reaction from his audience, indicating that they understood his claim to be one of divinity. Thus, the New Testament consistently presents Jesus as the divine Son of God, who shares in the glory and knowledge of the Father, challenging the Islamic view of him as merely a prophet.
