How can Jesus be divine when all messengers were sent to their own people as mere humans?

The Quran states that God sent messengers who were human beings to their own people, emphasizing their humanity. However, this does not exclude the possibility of a messenger who is also divine. In Christianity, Jesus is understood as the incarnate Word of God, who took on human flesh while retaining His divine nature. This duality is central to the Christian faith, as seen in John 1:14, which states, 'The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us.' Thus, Jesus is both fully human and fully divine, a unique position that sets Him apart from other prophets. Furthermore, the Quran itself acknowledges the miraculous nature of Jesus' birth and His role in performing miracles, which are indicative of His divine authority. For instance, in Surah 3:49, it mentions that Jesus was able to heal the blind and raise the dead, actions that go beyond the capabilities of a mere human. This aligns with the Christian understanding that Jesus is not just another prophet but the Messiah, who fulfills the prophecies of the Old Testament. Additionally, the concept of God sending His Son into the world is rooted in the Christian doctrine of the Trinity, where Jesus is recognized as the second person of the Godhead. This theological framework provides a deeper understanding of Jesus' mission and His relationship with humanity, which is distinct from that of other prophets. Therefore, while the Quran emphasizes the humanity of messengers, it does not contradict the Christian belief in the divine nature of Jesus.
