Additionally, the Christian belief in the divinity of Christ is supported by various scriptures in the New Testament, such as John 1:1, which states, 'In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.' This indicates that Jesus is not merely a prophet but is indeed God incarnate. Therefore, the Christian practice of worshiping Jesus does not contradict the monotheistic principle found in the Quran but rather expands upon the understanding of God's nature.
